Prayer

Inspired by Isaiah 6:1-7
Current mood: peaceful beyond understanding

Dear Father,
You are great, holy, & pure
Your holiness reveals the uncleanness of my lips
Please place the coal to my mouth
Bring the painful experience needed to purify my speech
Make me ready to receive it
Cause me to welcome it joyfully
That I may only glorify You w/ my lips

Purify also my mind
Purge me of sinful thoughts
May I only think of You & how I may follow You

Reshape my actions,
Reform my ungodly deeds
Let them only shine Your light into the world,
To draw men to You

So much of my life, Lord, has been consumed for my own pleasure
Please change that -- redirect my energies toward Your glory
Continue to sanctify me & cause me to follow You more faithfully
